borntobesting , it is easy to claim "it is on your end" and it is easy to say "it's Flash, so it is all Adobe's fault", but that would at best be half the truth. From what I read and what my own experiences confirms, the problems are more common in multiplay. It is also recommended by many to turn off the background loading. Many have witnessed jerky meter in combination with chat messages.
What does this tell us? As a developer I think like this: There is a lot of activity going on inside the game while you are making the shot. So, what if all those activities was paused as soon as you grab the 'Swing" icon? I do not want to read a chat message anyway while I concentrate for a "ding". I do not want to switch off background loading completely and have everyone wait for me 30 seconds after each shot. What more is going on? The webpage is constantly being updated with my activities in real time, is that necessary? Maybe a summary after each hole is sufficient instead of having a real time pipe open? If the game would stop listening to events and stop publishing stuff during the shot, I am sure the meter would be more stable.
It is obvious that the WGT team is spending a lot of effort on bringing us new stuff to buy in the shop and I hope that they do not completely forget the game play since that is what makes us go to the shop in the first place.
It is all about priority and although I am sure there will always be an occasional meter disaster even if the game was a "proper" program installed on our computer, but that is no reason to stop asking for improvements.
