Meter issue

  Been looking at the meter issue problem and I have yet to see a reply from any member of the WGT team, now I don't know if this is because they don't have a clue what causes it or there just not bothered about it.Either way could someone please try and update us on what you are trying to do about it?

  This is a web based game so we play the game our system lets us play...which can also mean we all play a slightly different game.  Don't feel alone, the problem you are experiencing seams to affect everyone around here at some point.  I suspect, some of the time at least, the meter hesitates no mater what we do and there is little WGT can do about it.   

  Check out the System Requirements over there-->...you might consider changing browsers as well.  Also, try turning off all of the game Options you don't need and lower the Flash Quality. 

  There are other suggestions, in the forums, other players have tried, that might help as well.

  Never had big meter problems untill the other night, doing all the stuff everybody complains about.  Didn't want that going on much. So after reading all the posts I could find on meter problems came to the conclusion it was my computer. I have always cleaned my cache. used game boost ect..... still the problem. I purchased a reg. cleaner, cleaned the reg. WOW what a difference, meter was smooth as silk.  Hope it stays that way. Oh and by the way the meter was so good I shot my first 28 tonight.

  The reg clean was just a coincidence. You actually logged into a low traffic WGT server. It wasn't anything you did. The registry only effects programs when they start.

  The problems with the meter will never go away "until" they put the game in a real gaming engine and stop using Flash. Flash is not a gaming engine. It wasn't designed to be. It doesn't perform as such. It's exactly as it is named...Flash...nothing more. It just looks pretty.

  Don't be mislead by the top players in this game. They don't have supernatural reflexes nor do they practice around the clock. They're hacks. There is no other explanation. They "must" experience the same interruptions as everyone else which makes it impossible to exceed a normal level of consistency. NO ONE can compensate for random hick-ups regardless of how much they practice. NO ONE. The only conclusion is hacking. So unless you want to IM them and ask for the hack, enjoy this buggy game as it is, because the only thing that's going to change is the prices.

  Don't hold your breath happyman, I've been pushing this issue for ages and not one peep out of them.

  I had issues....then I read somewhere that having loads of friends on list can cause problems. I got shot of my friends and guess what?.....it made a vast improvement! Infact, I'd say that since i cleaned friends list off it hasn't stuck once.

  There you go.  I deleted most of my friends and my meter is smooth.  I get a hiccup only when one of my friends logs on or off.  The OP has 170 friends.

  Best advice i was given does seem to settle it just take s abit longer to take a shot.

  First of all clear my cache evry few days makes no real diffrence these days. Myne runs the same with nothing saved or 10mb.

  Turn your availbilty to hidden once in the game you want.

  Chat after shots have been taken if possible.

  And i preswing 3 times then take the shot no meterbar lag well almost none.

  Its true its a overstretched flash game but its damn good so fairplay to them.

  My only real gripe is with WGT they never seem to follow up things if even take any intrest in the first place. As such i dont buy anything anymore have the clubs i want and learnign to play with the standard starter ping pong balls and enjoying it still so thats it simple answer just dont pay for anyhting. There lots of free fun tournaments or join a country club.

  Fantastic game lots of bugs but its free and i dont have to pay so do my best.
