In September of 2014, a WGT player shanked his tee shot on hole #6 & found an ornate "Easter Egg" next to one of the trees that line the sides of the holes on this world known golf course with such rich history.

Upon posting his game screen capture of this into the WGT forums, the community soon learned from MisterWGT himself what had been found:

"Very impressive find! When at Pinehurst, I kept hearing drunken local rumors of the infamous and elusive rabbit and it's treasured eggs (i.e. alien pods). Little did I know that our team would have captured such a rare sighting... let alone a hidden treasure on all 18 holes!"

What followed was an almost 2-week long drama filled explorations until all of the 18 eggs & the Easter Bunny were all found and shared. The "Egg-Xplorers" would share their stories from out on the course and now it has become, and will stay, part of the epic Pinehurst golf history.

Now in 2016, we revisit Pinehurst #2 and invite those who have not seen this Easter Bunny (and those who have) to a fun weekend of bunny themed golf competitions on WGT.com!

HOW TO ENTER AND PLAY IN THE EASTER VIRTUAL GOLF EVENT & CHALLENGES:

Follow the main thread for this event in the wgt forums - all entries must be done in this thread titled "Easter Bunny Challenge 2016".

This thread is open to all questions, comments and the likes. Help will be present almost around the clock thru the competitions in main thread.

Play Pinehurst #2 - Hole #5 in single hole practice mode and find the elusive Easter Bunny. Anyone who enters has a chance to win a prize! Enter the contest with a "RabbitCap" aka Screen Capture of both your WGT avatar and the Pinehurst Easter Bunny on your screen and you can win prizes in a number of ways! Help is available via how-to videos & and messaging Team Yancy directly when needed to capture your screen and get it into the forums.

The overall goal is to find the Easter Bunny in the lowest number of shots taken. Your number of shots taken will appear in your screen capture automatically - just like when playing WGT. This is not the only way to win a prize - see the other categories listed! If you find yourself looking at the Easter Bunny on your screen & you cannot remember how to get the "ScreenCap" - simply save the replay and contact Team Yancy for help. We will be available to help those who contact us promptly.

Remember - any WGT player who enters has a chance to win a prize! What in the world are the prizes? Video preview to be posted shortly!

    THE CAPTION CONTEST CHALLENGE

Following the 9am PST "Shotgun Start" time, there will be a unique photo posted in the main thread with cartoon bubbles coming from the heads of the golfers in the photo. Nows, I may wrong on this , but, this is an "informal" competition open to any an' all wgt'ers. As such, there is no "Enter" button. Whatcha do, is go to WGT Community at the top of the page, select " Golf courses" from the drop down menu, select "Pinehurst", select a hole to play in "practice" mode, make sure your kit is equipped with "Starter " balls ( or this could get expensive ) an' let 'em rip. To my knowledge, none of the Eggs / Pods are located on fairways , so you'll be wantin' to search rough, mulch, brush an' the like, in short, all the stuff you try to avoid normally. Enjoy the scenery & have fun.

    Doc :)
