I'm just curious if everyone else sees this as often as I do. Where the ball goes directly over the hole. No lip out, nothing. It's like the hole isn't even there. I see it quite a bit. You're expecting it to go in and uhh nope.

This first picture is from a putt. The replay is in my profile.

This is from a 66 yrd approach on 18 at STA. Both pictures are at the end of the replays where the ball had quit rolling. This shot ended up 7 inches from the hole. I didn't pull the flag on this shot so it actually should of hit the flag at least.

My opinion ,   (vn putt btw)  is that viewed from camera #2... it stays high and actually does ride the lip a touch.

True it is slightly high but it's strange to me it doesn't lip out. It's like the hole isn't even there. It doesn't affect the ball at all. I've have many other putts that were no where this much over the hole that actually change the course of the ball.

I'm not bitching I'm just curious if others see this as often as I do.

you could lump this in with the thread "same old chestnut" - pictures show apparently on the fairway but software indicates rough.

the graphical representation of the actual shot and position of ball can be quite poor.

I see this way more than I care to. Think I'll stop using the vapor ball so instead of always shouting @@**&^%$#@, I can say oh was that close. Starting to drive me nuts, no reference to my squirrel. May the wind always be at your back.

It happens. I had exactly the same type of putt yesterday afternoon. In real life that is.

Yep, I see this problem now and then. It tends to happen more with approach shots than with putts, so I always just assumed the flag was in the way or I didn't hit it perfectly or something. However, this was just taking it too far:              http://www.wgt.com/gameclient.aspx?view=showReplay&JSON=%257B%2520%2522GUID%2522%2520%253A%2520%252204b3f059-d4ef-49ed-9e41-9f44010998f7%2522%252C%2520%2522Brand%2522%2520%253A%2520%2522undefined%2522%2520%257D

Nice shot but the difference here is your ball is actually altered by the flag and hole. The ones that leave you scratching your head are the ones where the ball is not affected whatsover when it goes right through the flag or over the hole.

I highly suggest pulling the flag on all chips too.
