  Get real. They need real money to maintain the game and keep it available. The owners also, like you, have families to support and bills to pay.

  Ahhh, but those young guns will be coming full circle one day and will be revisiting those malls. They're drying up thanks to online shopping and becoming ghost towns and communities are looking for ways to repurpose them and one of the brilliant ways to do that is to turn them into medical centers.

  They're doing that here in Rochester, NY and it is working like a champ. No more fighting the ridiculous congestion at hospital parking garages and long walks to get to where you're going. Now it's like a trip to that bygone mall and majorly convenient.  :-)

  In our area, Ford Motor recently (2017) took up residence in one of the local malls and repurposed almost 250,000 square feet of previously vacated space. A lot of the space had been occupied by Lord & Taylor, which moved out a number of years ago. 

  "Ford Converts Nearly a Quarter-Million Square Feet of Unused Mall Area into New Workspace."

  I still live about 5 miles from the mall but never go to it. When I go to a mall now, which I actually like to do, I go out to Twelve Oaks in Novi. It has two of my favorite stores: a pet story with the puppies and an Apple store. 😀
