I've collected 5 examples in my saved replays of the ball apparently going straight over the hole, and stopping within a couple of feet. The latest was a 4ft putt at Oak#1 that stopped .9ft past after skating across the hole. I've reported this last one as an error. No doubt it happens from time to time to everyone, but is it occurring more frequently?

    esssy:

for some reason the replay post you put up THE GAME PAGE ONLY COMES UP TO ENTER A TOURNAMENT something has gone wrong

    Yep.

But I did go to your profile page to view the latest one in your saved replays .......

It may be the worst case of cling wrap I've seen yet.  But sometimes the instant replay vapor trail is so thick it can make it seem worse than it was.   But yes, I agree that one was "VUL"

*** the approach at St A's though......no cellophane but a v v ns and same on the approach at Oakmont....no cellophane there either....just a v ns

The one @ Oakmont looks like it went around the cup by a hair. But I'm half blind anyways.

Hi Flaccus, I agree with hpurey here - the St A's & Oakmont #1 approaches were just great shots, and never really looked like they should've gone in. The one at Kiawah #2 is very very close, but by FAR the best example is the original one on Oakmont #18 - no-one can doubt that it goes straight over the middle of the hole without a hint of deviation...

How curious! I went back to review and you're quite right. You can only take my word for it, but they definitely went over the hole when first saved. Believe me, I wouldn't have saved what are now such clear misses.

The other three are as saved.

Trust me flaccus, i believe you. All these strange outcomes have been happening to me for a long time. I sometimes get the feeling folks dont believe me when i tell them what happened. Then weeks after they start to happen, i see other players starting to put posts up about them. As for the replays, same thing again. I have saved many a dodgy outcome, only to see it has changed after i have saved it, and it always shows the wrong angle, as in, the closer angle seems to be gone from the replays.

I feel vindicated when i see posts like this going up, but im not moaning, as that only seems to make it worse, lol. Someday, WGT in they're wisdom might just let us play the game our way.

I know the feeling. Someone please explain how this ball didn't drop.

The outside of the ball trail is inside the cup edge. You can see how slow the ball was going at that point, it stopped just past the cup, so no way should it 'lip out'.

    wgt wtf

Nor me, but for future reference it would be useful to know whether I hit the wrong line (faulty graphics) or not (faulty programming).

With the non-putting examples, it doesn't really matter, and  I'm happy for WGT to fix the graphics/programming silently. However, it is a bit odd that (as at least appears to be the case) WGT goes to the lengths of airbrushing history by altering replays!
