I have hit the flag stick many a time IRL.

And in the 30+ years I've been playing,I have hit near the top a few times,And  when it hits dead on.It never goes more then a few short feet away.and some times it drops within 2 feet..but your code writers has the flag as a solid fix abject with no give.

In my last game ,A fellow competitor hit it dead on near the top from 50 yards out,

And it came back 60 feet.(st Ann # 6),I really hate seen some one get punished that bad  on a gr8 shot.Your code writers need to go out in the field and do some real life testing on flag hits..... Imho...

    ty vary mush,

Ps,thats just the way it is don't cut it here

I agree, in real golf if you hit the flag stick near the top it lands within 3/4 yds of the pin at the most, usually within a couple. of ft. I hit the top of the flag stick at St. G's one time and the ball ended up 60 ft. from the pin. You should look into this problem.

How about when you hit the "perfect" shot and you end up losing your ball. I'll explain. I was 164yds out on Kiawah Island, hole 6. It's a par 4. I go through my pre-shot routine, and off it goes. Looking pretty good to the hole. Then two things happen. One is the camera view switches to a far away view, (this usually happens when your just off the green and you chip in), and it makes the sound of the ball hitting the bottom of the cup! Then, just as fast as you here it hitting the bottom of the cup, you see the ball pop out and up and goes flying off the screen and out of bounds! :( So basically I got penalized with the loss of a ball for hitting my shot into the cup on the fly! It's not the loss ball that bothers me, (I can handle the loss of balls, it's a part of the game), but the fact that I couldn't of lined up my shot, factored in the wind, and played the perfect strength any better than what I did. Now I'm not a golfer, and I hardly watch it on TV. But surely that can't be possible in real life. Can it? I love this game and think you guys at WGT do a fantastic job! There are just a few things that need to be tweaked. Anyways, just thought I would throw this up here as something that isn't right.

Do to the size and depth of the cup.It is impossible for the ball to go more than a few short feet away from the hole .that is, if it  pops up say 20 feet into the air.And since the stick is in the hole, and if it comes out after flying in .never more then a few inches.

The first one seems reasonably realistic, given you were hitting from over 200 yards away and the ball only bounced once before hitting the flagstick.

The second one is just nuts though, you got well screwed there.

......neither one of those.....mine hit exactly on the TOP of the flagstick  on the way down  i think it was from 74 yards out to.....the very point at the top of the stick !

The second one from mnshiner is very wrong, as it reacts off the flag just like a snooker ball would off a cushion - a 90’ angle.

An easy fix if someone can be bothered.
