Just played a game with a "Master" and he quit on the last hole. He had me beat but was 6 over par. What a "Yahoo"!!

One way to keep quitters from quitting or frustrating you is to play match play.  They quit; you win.  Drawback is that your scores are not recorded, nor can you play with more than one other golfer.

Not really the point. Why do they quit? To maintain their average?  His average was 70.56.

What was his gain? If you want to play a game, "play the game"!

If you really like multiplayer and don't like quitters I suggest you take a look a the LADDER

You set up your matches there and play them here. It is all recorded there and if you quit you lose.

    happy hitting

Why "log on" to a multiplayer game, if you don't want to play? What is the logic there? Play or don't play. I understand the "ladder" game concept. But there are "quitters" there as well. Finish the game.

But they do not get away with quitting on the Ladders site. There's always some kind of penalty for that: having to post the loss, receiving a low Karma rating from the opponent... plus, in the Ladder site's forums, you are allowed to "name & shame" quitters, in order to warn other players against them.

We are eagerly awaiting for WGT to re-introduce reputation tracking on this site (correctly implemented).

Low "Karma rating" sounds like a plan.

Sorry, don't understand your remark, mb386.    The Karma rating on the Ladders site is a very effective tool that can be used, precisely, to show your displeasure about any specific quitters, should you encounter them there (which is extremely rare, I'd say).

Sorry, I guess I didn't understand the "Karma rating". I didn't realize that it was "reality". I will have to check it out.
