Wk 9 Multiround Open Tournament BETHPAGE BLACK

This is limited to the first 200 players, players playing for credits and a 100 credit fee.

I think WGT has made a mistake here limiting this to the USA only, unless someone would like to give a reason for this?

There are a couple more like this too, please open these up to all countries that allow betting in the same way that any of tourney like RG or what not are also open to all.

Cant see how this tourney is any different than the others that have betting.

    Thanks!

    I guess I don't understand Jay.

Why would a Canadian voluntarily want to be beaten again this week by us Yanks?

    sorry, j/k, couldn't resist. ;~)

Oh you went and opened another can o' worms there you did.

As Andy rightly points out, there should be more tier based tourney's.....though very soon I am going to turn Master and will wish I never brought it up, as other Master's also dont like the idea as voiced before and for the obvious reasons....

The Weekly Free Multiround Tournaments are open to all countries, but the Weekly Multiround Tournament that requires an entry fee has the same restrictions as Match Play Challenges, so it is open to US residents only, except Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Vermont.

The tournament rules can be found here.

Ummmm... but us Canadians can play Matchplay Challenges... so what is the difference exactly?

*edit* and we can enter the monthly premium ones too, but not the weekly?

Sorry, my mistake.  The regulations for the weekly multiround aren't quite the same as the MP Challenges.

We run various forms or sweepstakes, contests, promotions and skill game challenges.  Each one has its own local regulation based on where you live.  We do our best to clear as may states and countries as possible to enable the maximum number of people who can participate. Unfortunately some local regulation prohibit or are too onerous for us to offer the event.

Thanks for your replies but I definitely am not following here.

Ready Go tourneys require betting money and are open to pretty much all places that allow betting, Canada, Germany, some USA states, etc.  There are others just like this too.

For some reason, which I believe is an oversight and nothing more, the one I mentioned is not allowed to anywhere but the USA.

As AvatarLee and I mention, how could it possibly be any different than the other betting tourneyments?   The prizes are credits, the entry fees are credits, just like a Ready-go for a good example.  Can't see the difference here and think its just an oversight, hopefully you could check into this for us.

*edit* Update on this issue.... Last week (Week 10) I was able to enter the paid weekly multiround tournament, seems like they opened it up for a lot of countries... now this week (Week 11) I am no longer able to enter.  Is this intentional, or did something not carry over from last week?

    Hi Lee,

We opened up the paid Weekly Multiround tournament to all countries that allow skill gaming in Week 10, but we accidentally implemented the older, US-only restrictions in Week 11.  This will be fixed in the coming week and as we move forward, so you should be able to enter this tournament in the future.  Sorry about that!
