Olympic rocks.  Many thanks.  I shot a 62 first time out that was as uneven a round as I have played in weeks.  Started -3 after 4 including birdies on the first two, but was -2 after 11 (lol) following my 3rd bogey of the round.  Started to pull it back a little with a birdie on 13, then on 14, BANG, my first Olympic eagle, holed out a PW from just over 100y.  Finished strong with a 62.

Strange, strange feel that will make for some interesting RGs later as Olympic is asymmetrical, playing 34 out and 36 in for a 70 par.  Congress is asymmetrical as well, but with a 71 par it has to be, and both halves were familiar (36,35).  That 34 has a strange feeling because it makes you feel like you are lower than you really are.

Overall, I liked the course A LOT.  No noticible bugs the first play through, though I'm sure we'll run into the occasional invisible branch, etc.  The rough is no worse than Congress, and I didn't find any worse than 40/50.  The one bunker I hit was also a 40/50 lie and blasted out to 2'.  Definitely want to be below the cups on these greens, but I'll take above also rather than side hill.  Some of these are brutal from the side.

It is indeed a great addition to the game. Thanks WGT.

The 34 par of the front nine might make up for a nice ave. dropper. Two strokes in advance of STA.
