    Chris.....

When i said PGA tour  (EA) i did mean the game, as in EA sports.  You know, Tiger Woods PGA Tour....

Played it a few times online via the PlayStation and there were so many cheats that people were driving 500 yds and shooting impossible scores. That's why I said I was disappointed to see a 49.  I know how and why he did this, but I really don't want this game to go  the way of PlayStation/Xbox way. D'ya catch ma drift?

Gary,  Still only level 71  (TM)

If there is anyone out there with hope of matching or beating Run's score take a good look at all the warm congratulations you get from the multitude of others whom can't compete at the highest level. And because they can't do it, "they just know without a shadow of doubt others are cheating! I'm so sick and tired of top players being called out in such a way I could puke. I remember this time last year when I just couldn't climb to the top, always seeing the same names on top of me over and over and over. I almost quit playing (true). But I said NO!!!! I AM GOING TO BE BETTER! So I started asking lots of questions to others like Bollox in several pm's etc.. and slowly things started to click and I began to drop those 1 or 2 strokes I always needed. With all that being said I suggest 1 of 3 things... 1)Grind it out, ask questions, take notes, watch video's etc.(It may take you 2 months to improve or 2 years depending on how much time you allocate to the game 2) If you refuse to put in the time and hard work find another game that better suites you. OR don't play all the tourneys, find you a circle of friends on wgt that you enjoy playing with. It's a super fun game. And if your own personal tourney aggravation is taking the fun out of it wouldn't you say it might be time to rethink things over? 3) There are some decent players right now who spend more time surfing the forum as a wgt police than they do focusing on there OWN game. And often times it's the same people always complaining about some silly garbage. And I hate to be the one to shine this very simple light, but if you would shift that same amount of time and effort on your game rather than posting or reading everything in the forum you might be pleasantly surprised as to the outcome. There is no need between every other hole to pull up the forum and see whats new :-) I hate to be the  psycho I am at this very moment but this is something that has been building up in me for some time now. And please understand I am posting this in hope to help others and not hurt them.

I posted this a few months ago after reaching Legend and i feel it is relevant to this discussion.

I understand in the grander scheme of things i am just a newbie here. I try to help others to improve their game and if asked am happy to impart what limited experience i have to others. What works for me may not work for others so any advice given is either ignored or accepted based on what works for THEM. I am extremely grateful to those that have posted tips in the forums and given their advice to improve my game. I hope one day to be considered a good player. My aim and the aim of everyone should be to be the best you can be given the abilties you have. I do not denigrate anyone because they may not play as well as me nor do i complain when someone is better than me.

This game caters to all tastes. If you want to be the best and you have the abilty you can. If you want to just play for fun with mates you can. I am somewhere in between. I am not competitive by nature so i play tournaments very rarely. I am not interested in leading any money list or making a profit. Even when i play others i play against the course not the player. If i think i shot a good score it does not matter to me if i win or lose.

Decide what you want from this game and do what is necessary to achieve that without compromising any principles you may have. Practice and better equipment WILL make a difference to your game.

    Exactly!

Way to many players are complaining before they pay their dues. Players under the Legend tier need to understand this game won't evolve for them until their a Legend player and for one simple fact, that's where the equipment is to be the best at this game.

You're not psycho my man, and I'm glad to see such a reply from one of the best here at WGT.

Normally it's us average Joe's that catch a glimpse of "the perfect round" and know it can be done, that do the defending of the top players here.

Refreshing to see the likes of yourself air it out!

    Cheers to ya Mate!

    PS

    And good post Manabouttown!

Amen: I feel the same. I also don't really care what I shoot. I also hope that my playing partner breaks the course record! But I have played with folks that are so competitive that, It's really funny actually.
