    CommanderIan:

Maybe I've hit an old never with some members, but again you've misunderstood the original post.  I mentioned the scores were getting unrealistic - which they are.  49 is not realistic no matter how you spin it - neither is 50 or anything in the 50's for that sake, or even 62.  I also mention the game is great, and in further posts that is by far the best game out there.  Then I mention how intense the competition has become.  That's it.  I'm not knocking the game, or the programmers, or the players, or anything...

I understand with practice you get better, I understand with better equipment you get better, I understand that it is virtually impossible to make this game exactly like golf (as I also mentioned in a further response). However, no one can tell me WGT is not trying to make this game - somehow - more realistic all the time.  Whether it is bug fixes, enhancements to the game play, different logic for the tiers, etc...  Otherwise they would have dumped their developers.

I agree and I think the realism in WGT far surpasses anything else out there.

I also think the recent breaking of the glass ceiling at 50 has (rightly or wrongly) created an "it's too easy now" backlash.

I look forward to future improvements that will add another level of decision making to the shot process and make the game a little bit tougher. (Personally, I hope it's adding a "slope" variable).

WGT's dedication to realism isn't in doubt, just limited by technology.

In real golf a lot people only play once a week at most. If they played 10 times a day I guess their scores might come down too

That is why it takes a lifetime for them to become Legends while some here manage it in 6 months :)

It really doesn't matter a whole lot what WGT does, scores will be low. Certain players are going to always approach it as a video game to be beaten and then set out finding a way to beat it.

I also belong to an online anime golf game (only play there quarterly to keep my account active). It has shot shaping and a lot more "amenities" that mirror real-life but the graphics suck and it has only imaginary courses. Scores are just as unrealistic there.

It's just the nature of the beast.

2 late for WGT 2 fix things, simple. The game is just way 2 easy compare to reality.

More & new equipment to: hit longer, high trayectory, more grip, slow meter, legends playing from master tees, etc. Averages now under 54, 49 strokes in 18 holes, etc...hell, when is this going to stop!!!??, probably never as long as WGT exist.

    ....just my 2 monedas.

edit, forgot  2 add; wish the US qualifying cut at Olympic was 71! & not 57 as it will probably end. So a 70 was a GREAT and sweet achievement !!!
