    Sorry according to the USGA rule-book. Chipping is allowed on the green, however if the stroke creates a divot on the green there is a 1 or 2 stroke penalty (sorry forgot just how many strokes the penalty was)

    RoG 25-3:

    2 strokes penalty for a stroke from a wrong green, regardless if a divot is taken or not.

    mentioned this before but if our greenkeeper even

    thought you were thinking of using a wedge on his greens

    you would find yourself strung up by your 'private parts'

    with piano wire from the nearest ball washer
