no such thing as locked course ..

the courses u r referring to are Blitz or closest to hole courses .. WGT haven't mapped out these courses yet since only few hundred shots were taken of these instead of the couple of thousand it takes to build a full 18 hole course .. which incidently takes 6 months to build ..

i'm surprised you find the courses boring .. maybe u should try and play off diffirent tees, wimdspeed, pin positions .. it'll open up alltogether diffirent views of these courses

Brad... maybe they're boring 'cause you keep playing St. Andrews and Kiawah all the time!  Give Olympic Club a try... not a boring course.

There's a sticky announcement right at the top of this forum titled "Locked courses...", of all things.  Believe it or not, it actually has to do with this very subject.

You can always tell the "gamers" from the "golfers" on here.  Gamers want to unlock stuff... that's what they know.  Everything's about unlocking.  I went out to my local course today and asked the head pro if any of the 9's were locked, or if they were going to unlock other 9's I haven't played yet.  He just looked at me in a strange way.

what about cabo del sol its a full course and a few others, no reason why they cant be played in general play....oh and you can usually tell the ones who play for free and the ones who spend money on here...i spend at least 100 bucks a month on here so why shouldnt i want them unlocked

Hi Brad... the point is, there are no locked courses on WGT.  All the original WGT courses are photographed on land and by helicoptor, in High Def photography... literally hundreds of thousands of photographs per 18 hole course, then mapped and CG rendered at the cost of at least $100,000 to $200,000 per course.

The courses where you hit one shot per hole were lightly photographed... so your sand shot from the right bunker on hole 6 at Wolf Creek has never been photographed, nor mapped.  It is not locked.  It just was never photographed for regular play.  Make sense?

Danny... you know full well that code only works on Olympic Club.

Too bad about the parking nightmare.  Same thing'll be in play when the 2015 Open is up here at Chambers Bay.
