    mnguy12000:

Thanks guys,  I racked up 511 credits todat just doing some simple surveys.  Driver or Wedge, that is the question.  I think I am going to shoot for 1000-120o credits before i do anything any suggestions on what to buy?

This game is set up to create an urge for new equipment every (second) day, at each new level. Alas, those who spend the dough too fast are broke when the good stuff arrives.

The 1st club to go for is the Pro Driver @250 cr IMO. My advice, until you are a Pro, grind your way with the Starter equipment.

You played an excellent 31 at your last game as a Hack, that's more than I ever hoped for at that stage. No need to hastily spend your credits, as 10 decent ranked strokeplay rounds as an Amateur will bring you to the Pro tier.

The next suggestion would be some wedges. The budget buy are the Pings (60° + 54°) with decent lengths of 60 and 80 yds plus the intermediate "punch" yardages. At your level 23, you might buy them right away, or only the 60° if you like.

After that, there's not much to do. Wait until level 35+ before considering a decent 3WD or hybrid or even a full set. Keep in mind that the game becomes harder from tier to tier. Pro and Master will add distance, the "Tour" adjunct will bring faster greens.

The first big step is "Master" and you might then want to buy the best clubs available for your level to come.

Why I don't include a putter? IMO, the Starter putter is the best club in this set, even some Legends play it. Decent putters start at level 35, I waited until level 55 (Daytona "Rossa").

BTW, from time to time there are free rental days, a good opportunity to get a free grip at a variety of equipment.

Most important: Have fun & hit it straight!
