  Not sue if this has been asked/answered before. If so my apologies for being behind the times a bit

  Is there a reasonable explination  why the physics for the performance of a shot have been tampered with for this particular hole from the tee?

  Level 71 Nikes with a G-20 driver (High traj) should surely be going alot further than 250 yards in mild wind.

  The elevation of my drive is the most blatantly obvious thing...It seems about 20 yards lower than it should be.

  Why is that?

  288 yards from the legend tees, and 50 feet in elevation and you're wondering why you can only drive 250-260? 

  I think the R9 and the R11 will both outdrive the G20 on that hole.

  The first thing I noticed when I rented the G-20 driver was how much distance it lost into even a mild headwind. All 3 of the top Taylor Made drivers The TP R9 the R11 and the R11s lose much less distance into a headwind than the G-20 does. The rated distance of the G-20 is 2 and 4 yards less than the R11 and R11s but into even a mild headwind that changes to around 10 and 12 yards. As Olympic # 7 is 50 feet uphill from the tee box on the legend tees it stands to reason into even a mild headwind the G-20 will come up well short. Even the 2 R11 drivers can and do come up short due to the severe elevation change.

  What appears to be lost elevation is the ground coming up to the ball. 50 foot uphill looks like the ball is only half as high as normal off the tee from behind.

  I think this is the explination I needed. It's a trick of the eye I reckon.

  Looks literally like your ball is half the elevation than usual from the club head.

  But thanks for the input guys.
