After watching the pro's practice at Royal Lytham, its made me even more gutted WGT didn't map the course for us here.  A course where the slightest "miss ding" would either send you in "unplayable" rough or in one of the numerous bunkers which line the fairway, not just here and there but like parallel lines of doom running al the way down the fairway.  If we weren't gutted a few weeks ago when WGT announced "no British Open this year" we definitely will be when watching the pro's tackle the only open course to have 3 x par 3's on the front 9.  aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Oh i know, i'll go and play Whistler instead...........

I'm very excited to see how the course plays, was watching the Scottish Open this last weekend in Aberdeen and that was a brilliant links. Lots of birdies and eagles on offer if you play sensible golf, but a small mistake and you get smashed.

I think the same might happen at Lytham but as always with links golf, it's going to depend heavily on what the weather looks like.

    Come on Louis!

Scottish Open was Castle Stuart Golf Links in Inverness:http://www.castlestuartgolf.com/

(miles from Aberdeen) you might have got confused by seeing the sponsor which was Aberdeen Asset Management
