Any strategies to getting it close( to at least a manageable look at bird) when the pin is on the far right side. With the elevation the ball drastically moves forward leaving a long putt straight down hill. I'm trying to barely reach the green and have it roll out but it's risky of leaving it in the rough.

    thx

Coincidence: just did this a few hours ago and noticed your post. I think this is the pin position you are referring to.

    R11 5i 195yd with Nike 20XI lvl71 full back spin.

Using irons with high trajectory and balls with lots of backspin help considerably on Bethpage elevated greens.

Edit: just looked at your profile. The burners 2.0 are good, but the R11  irons with 1/2 dot more spin and being able to use a higher lofted club for approach does help. Also my angle of approach gave me more green to work with. Wish I could always place my drives where I want them....lol

I am not sure the exact difference between the r11's and 2.0's but it must be substantial because 99.9% of leaderboards have these clubs.

I'm still one level + 17K xp away.  Can not wait.

Checked out your replay. Great shot, but the hole location I'm talking about is tucked over on the right side of the green. It's the current US Flashback location.

R11's got little more distance, half dot more spin & half dot more forgiveness .. from what i understand the little more forgiveness is the big thing, since we all know how u get penalized for missing ding even a little over long range shots with Burners .. slightly larger sweet spot on R11's should theoretically translate to holding line slightly better on missed ding with little less loss in power also ..

Basically R11's draw a higher curve for the same distance, giving you a more perpendicular landing which translates into a more stoppable ball on the green.  The meter tends to be faster I guess because of the virtual reproduction of real physics :  More altitude means closer elevation angle but in order to cover same distance the design compensates with a longer "stick".  That calls for a more accurate shot requirement and WGT deals with that "reality" speeding up the meter.

Bottom line :  More altitude, faster meter, vertical landings and more control over spins on R11.
