.. Not sure why theres only the one Heavy winded RG available at the moment.. .. a piddly 100 credit game...

.. It would seem WGT think people either wont enter Heavy winded RG's due to their ability to handle it,  that players wont enter them due to ruining there averages, or perhaps we as players enjoy shooting 55 instead of 65 ......

.. I think its a little bit of each,,, but in any case there should be more Heavy Winded RG's available for those who enjoy more realistic golf conditions and who don't give a rats ass for their averages............

Guilty. I tend to shy away from really windy conditions when RG's are concerned.

I have a few reasons most of which are valid for me :)

The first reason ( not listed in order of any kind ) Is the Dinged approach shot Bug that I seem to experience everyday. Its already hard enough to line up approach shots to small greens and when I ding a shot and the ball defaults str8 at the flagstick even though I moved aim marker wayyyyyyyyyyyyy left/right I end up so far off the green and sometimes lose balls not to mention strokes. Find myself playing for bogey on 1 to 2 holes a game because of this gameplay VEM or bug or whatever it is that causes that to happen to me when making approach shots. It only takes 1 or 2 bad holes to put yourself out of the running in RG's. I may as well just enter the tourney and then quit the round and just donate the credits :(  At least thats how I feel about it.

The 2nd reason for me is that it is just not realistic . I live in Florida and I am sorry if the wind was blowing over 23 MPH Im putting up boards on my windows and buying water , batteries , flashlights, food etc etc because a storm is coming. The last thing I would be doing is heading out onto a golf course in those very windy conditions. Not real at all. That is of course my opinion of which some may think I am not entitled to beacsue I only been here 9 or so month's lol. Thats right I am not letting that statement go :)

3rd reason and last for me is the lost ball in weeds . How in the heck do you hit a ball in the weeds and have it taken away when IRL you could just go and look for it ? Unless of course your scared of snakes :) I use 450 credit balls and dont plan on losing them in that manner. Or at least I try and minimize that from happening as much as possible. I definitely would not play a water course in high winds beacsue I am bound to lose a sleeve that round for sure :) That is not golf and it is not fun .

But at least I am 21 about my reason for being a chicken shiet ! LOL

Any other tourney I may give the high wind a shot from time to time especially on STA and RSG where it is hard to lose a ball in the water :) Or have the approach bug bite me in the ass in which case I still play it for bogey after the errant shot but it didnt cost me 50 , 100 or 500 credits to do it..

I guess once I am at level 96 and have all the equipment I could possibly buy and have a crate full of balls I may change my mind about Heavy Winded RG's. But until then pok pok pok im outta here :)

If WGT would make the courses play true to the wind I'd play them. But as it is now, it's all luck of the draw.

If you don't follow what I'm suggesting, I'll explain.

To make it simple: #1 hole runs north to south. The wind is 10 mph from the south. Obviously you have a 10mph headwind on #1. Hole #2 runs south to north. Obviously you have a 10mph tail wind.

But on WGT you could have a head wind on both holes, a tail wind on both holes, a cross wind on #1, tail wind on #2, etc etc etc....

Make the winds play true to the course.

Love that low wind STA amateur tees legend RG! Makes up for the horrendous high winds champ tees one I bombed on yesterday...

I have somewhat the same reason as above. I do not even mind the winds not being true as long as they are the same for all that enter. As it is now the wind has way to much influence on the outcome of a RG

This is the exact reason I tend to shy away for HIgh wind Tourneys for money! Pure luck, in a high wind tourney the wind can make a big differance, Eagle ops for some and hard pars for others on the same hole. WGT says it averages out and want random so people cant tell other people about conditions but if the conditons on all hole were same direction for example with differant wind speeds at least then it would be more realistic and fair.

But the way it currently set up of the 50 that enter 25 may have a nice tail wind at a par 5, other may have a nice head wind on a par 5. Just that alone makes a big differance.

WGT if you read this I dont beleive we need the conditions to be exactly the same for all in a RG, but at least program it so we all have the same wind directions or close with maybe 5-10 mile an hour  variences to even the field up.

Just my thoughts on the topic.

    Mes.
