Which would be about $495 less than the current rate to play the course.

LOL  Yeah, 2019 isn't that far away.

Although since we already have Oakmont, maybe they can squeeze it in during the 2016 year?   lol

I'm not even sure we will get it then. They couldn't get in 2010 when they held the U.S, Open there. We got Oakmont, which was the site of the Ladies U.S Open, instead. I hope we do get it but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.

I think the Open is in Pinehurst either this year or next so we should get Pinehurst #2 which is a great tract.  It will be interesting to see how the greens work on WGT.   They really need to work to add 2 courses each year, since the British has a rotation that brings back a lot of the same courses, in the years when we have a duplication same for the US Open, I would think we could grab the PGA course from that year.  The set up isn't as tough as the Open for those but the courses can be.

Winged Foot is one of if not the most difficult courses that I have every played, it gets toned down for the PGA but for the Open it is extremely difficult, hopefully we will get one TruGolf course and 2 high def each year in the future.

How did Links manage to acquire so many courses. I had a choice of almost 100 I could play on. I do miss that sim.

I don't think you have to acquire the rights to do a cad type course for many courses.WGT has to get permission to go to the course and shoot the photos. There is s big diffetence there. Most likely the people who did the Links courses never even set foot on them.

I was an old Links player for many years, even back to when it was played via the old America On Line internet.   Had to load the tee and pin settings for tournaments and connect back to send them your score, man those days on the internet sucked.

I don't think was Born said that it is necessary to buy the rights to do the courses like Links did many years ago while WGT has to spend days on the actual course to shoot it from many angles.  I'm not sure exactly how TWO gets as many courses as they do, it might be the same thing you can use the course as long as you don't have to photograph on the course itself.

It was fun back in the old day of Links to design courses and play on the custom designed tracts.  I can still recall playing an end of year championship on a course called Waterville, every shot was to an island, I was lucky enough to win the tourney, got a nice glass trophy from them, bigger than most of the real ones I have.
