  I like st a 18 holes as i can see my house from 18th hole but the first is driving me nuts .. I put second in burn so i can chip in and get waterboy award but i keep missing by inches .

  Craig, when the pin is in the front position on the first hole, you need to get a tailwind that will roll your drive into the burn, then it's just pitch close and tap in for the elusive Water Boy.

  My favourite 9 is without doubt the front 9 on Oakmont. It can make you look a total fool in the first 3 holes, yet there's many times I've played it and been -3 on the 4th tee. Great opportunities for birdies on 4,5 & 6, yet more often than not you're scratching your head as to how you haven't broken par come the end of it. I love it and hate it in equal measure, depending on how I've putted.

  Give me Oak B9 in high winds - I've come out with rounds of -7 to even, each time saying, 'man, that's about as good as I could have done that round...'  :-)

  Got to be any 9 of Oakmont. The par 5s are the best holes on WGT.

  While I'm far from scoring anywhere near legends like pricehcs, I definitely concur that Oak's back 9 are my favourite here at WGT. Rewarding when you play well, devastating when you don't - but in any case there's always lots to learn.

  Plus I love Oak's dewy autumn setting like on #12 and #18...
