when i had starter clubs i would use the 70 yard wedge - but you GOTTA hit the dinger.

IIRC, #7 is from the trap?  Punch out. I use my 80W which punches 68. Depending on the wind, it's never a full swing, closer to 80-90% with full back spin. The spin won't stop it but does slow the rollout down. Without it almost every shot rolls off the green. The green drops off to the right of the pin so you want to stay left and expect some slow roll from the shot.

with no wind to affect my shot....i reverse view, aim about 2 grids right of the pin. i try and hit 70 yards with full BS. the trick, IMO anyways, is to try and land just short of the fringe, it will keep the roll to a minimum.

Assuming no wind, I always aim well left of the pin, seems that the balls always come out to the right off the club.  I use my 80 yard cleveland wedge at about 85% with full backspin.  If the ball lands just on the green to the left of the pin it rolls out a good bit and some to the right generally within 5 to 8 feet, sometimes with a little wind into you the shot will stop close, I've made it a few times.

Generally in a blitz challenge game I just try to be conservative and get inside of 10 feet, you will wind more than you lose that way, I would estimate that 75% of the people I play with hit that shot in the trap or off the back of the green.
