    SimonTheBeetle:

Now the question is why the hell WGT only took a limited amount of photos and data instead of a full package since once you go out there, you go out there anyways.

If it has to do something with some licensing issues, why the hell the golf course allowed WGT to have it even partially?! Isn't it rather a "you have it all or you don't" thing?

It might be a limited manpower and priorities issue.  Maybe they were only permitted access to the Lanai course for a few days.  Maybe they already have all the photos and information they need to develop it into a full 9 or 18 hole course, but they just don't have the manpower or the time to do it.  I mean, they had Wolf Creek as a CTTH course for ages before they fully developed it into the 18-hole course we have today.

I don't know.  I'm just throwing out possibilities.

Maybe a WGT official can respond to this thread and let us know if or when the Lanai course will be finished and open to the public for match play.

Well possible. Add that the full course may not be suitable to WGT in yardage, as they have to use the existing tees. IMHO, this applies to Bandon Dunes - all their courses are too short for our top tiers.

Unlikely, IMHO. Usually, the full course is published in direct sequence to the CTTH, and they are all US Open courses, except Wolf Creek. There must have been a good deal for WGT involved, and I assume they revisited it for the full course.

    conjectures, more conjectures...

ALOSSO this thread is about the Lanai Course.
alosso, please. Don't like to be shouted at.

You asked about Lanai in your first post of this thread which sees no answer by me.

I replied to the second one which uses the plural, "why are there entire courses...?", apparently broadening your question.

    bruce18285:
    Your comment makes no sense.
I'm sorry if you don't get my explanation which includes Lanai. It's the best I could do to match your vague question and vulgar rant.
