Why are the camera angles on the new hole locations so far out of wack from the regular holes?  (Like hole #15)  The angle is so bad you can't line up a putt.  How about sticking to the standards?

Anytime there is not a good spot to take a photo fro there will be some flaky camera angles.

I'm told that it was the first course made on here.  I guess lots of mistakes were made which WGT have sinced learned from.

    That's a fantastic realization Courtney.

    I agree.

Apparently they made the photos concentrating on the first set of pins.

Last year, they carved the new set from these photos instead of taking the pain of making new ones. Thus they had to compromise more than usual.

I appreciate that approach. To me it's better to have imperfect views on new pin positions than to have nothing new at all.

what i dont understand is why when wgt photograph there new courses, why dont they photograph 4 different pin locations for the new release, how good would that be ?

then in multi round tournys we could have 4 rounds with 4 different pins, plus it would take alot longer before we are tired of playing the same courses.

like i say i dont understand and maybe that would meen 4 times the work involved. :)

Thanks for all the good answers folks.  It's nice to see a topic addressed professionally as opposed to to creating a *** session.  I hadn't thought of the fact that the photos were already in the database and the different flag locations would mess up the angles.  I agree, having the different pin locations is better than having perfect camera angles.  :)
