  Spot on mate. I am sick to pigging death of this happening recently. I fully understand that it's our responsibility to check, but occasionally it's easy to forget and then watch your 4ft putt steaming past the hole like an exorcet missile !

  The concepts understandable and with some merit, but for the life of me I just can't see what the purpose of these larger meters when playing from, and into, a position with great speed and roll.  Too many positions on all the courses to mention, but every course has at least one if not more of these dumb situations. More than once I've done it again, and from positions that my previous round was within a foot of the same position when the 25 yd. meter was more than 5 times more than needed there.  Just venting now, and I understand my frustration won't change a thing, but stupid is too kind of a term to use in these cases. It seems almost like trickery if you ask me.

  I have the Method putter with its infernal 10 ft scale. Since I use the 100 ft scale for all putts of 10 or more feet, it's dead easy to remember to change, cuz I almost always have to.

  Why do I use the 100 footer? Simple - less space for putter stutter.

  After letting myself get burned again on a putt from the same position I played one round earlier, maybe it will finally sink in.  Same distance in feet must have been the inches.  It's frustrating and unbelievable that a matter of inches could change the meter on an orange putt. To be fair to us all you might want to consider the same meter change on those black-blue putts that can't reach the hole with the 25 ft. meter.  It always seems to be on the super fast ones that you get burned.  Again, just my opinion, but dumb, dumb, and dumber.

   

  Also I wonder when my posts won't have to be reviewed by a mod anymore.  This is about my 10th or 12th post, and I even started a thread in the game tips forum.  Hello, is anybody in there?
