i was just playing merion and hit into the weeds on the 16th. so did my playing partner. he was charged a stroke, but wgt let me keep shooting an i lost 4 balls on 4 strokes. let me lose 1 ball, not 4. i couldn't even see where i was, what i was shooting at, nothing. what a scam to make me buy more balls. no money left and have to use the crap balls we start with

After losing that first ball you should have just taken your putter turned around the other way and tapped the ball enough times to reach the maximum shots allowed. I have done that before and only lost the one ball. Don't blame WGT because you didn't think of a way to hit the ball without losing it.

you are not the first person to lose a ball - trust me !! sometimes it is better if you shoot backwards or sideways to gain a better shooting position. some lessons are better learned the hard way !!  play often  have fun !!

I too just lost 6 balls at Merion on hole 2. my tee shot ended up in the rough at the base of the trees on the right hand side. I couldn't even see the ball. hitting it in several different directions resulted in a lost ball with my last shot reaching the maximum number of shots. 5 balls were ones I had paid for and number 6 was one of the unlimited balls.

I think this game is a con as far as balls being lost is concerned. I know this isn't real golf but in a real round of golf, if you hit the ball in the rough or long grass and the ball hardly moves an inch, it certainly wouldn't be lost. you could simply pick it up and take a drop. but it seems with this game that the slightest thing is enough to consider a ball lost.

Stop ripping us off WGT. it's a good way to lose players and money. surely you must see this.
