i agree with you 100%. Every aspect of my game changed. I have good equipment I paid for. Now my meter speeds are different. The wind effects are different. And the greens are unreadable, One hole I notice the ball takes twice as much break as it shows and the next hole it only takes half of what it shows. The game does not change because your skill level improves. We are playing from tees that are farther back which means our approach shots are longer. I get that. The game does not become a different game because you are a better golfer and it has taken away from the enjoyment of the game.

    ICB,

You are replying to a 2 year old thread. The op is now a "legend", an' so he apparently found the "fun" again. I , myself, posted something about the game not being so much fun anymore, but, that was all about disconnects and glitches. Yes, the game plays very differently than what it used to, that is part of the challenge we all face as we progress.

The rest of it is all on WGT's end, no matter what they say.

    Doc :)

Both of your comments are appreciated. And, of course, you are both right. But the complexion of the game does change dramatically when you reach the Master level. The expensive wedges that were purchased now get to be used once a round, instead of  two to three times a round. Don't bother buying new drivers;  you may pickup up a little more distance, but not enough to get closer. And wait until you reach  Legend: you get to hit 3 irons onto greens. The game is definitely more challenging. But that doesn't equate to more fun. And, for those of us who are real golfers, it is not realistic. Averaging 280 off the tee doesn't get one close enough to attack many holes. And of course, there is still the random negative bias on 75% of the shots.

It's not you Janisrip. The game has become more difficult for one reason, revenue for this site. And it's not just you. I have been a Tour Legend for many months now and they created two more tier levels, Champ and Tier Champ. Since then, this site has made it more difficult for all of us. You will advance to the next tier but it depends on how much money you fork over. Don't let these others tell you anything different. This game is not fun anymore and the more money you dish out to this site, the more than want. You will pay if you want to advance, Just look at the people who have been on here since 2008 to date. You'll see many of them who has not advance because they are smarter than the rest of us. And like real golf, the better the equipment the better you can play. However, once you get use to your clubs and know what you can do with them as to distance and your shots, you can still shoot a great round of golf, but not so much on here.
