    Janisrip:
I still believe the game would improve immensely if WGT came up with a continuously variable swing meter -- instead of the choppy increments.

Most of the meter problems have nothing to do with WGT. Have you tried different browsers and versions of Flash?

What are the best browsers to use?  I currently use Chrome.  Does the loop really make a difference?

I was told that legend is when it starts to go downhill.  Master never did anything to me.

Ask within our club Perry. It's busier. :-)

To start with, as a Master I'd pay 65 crs per sleeve => Tour-SDs :)

And yes, it's a big step in the game, the other being the step to Legend. Difference is, a TM knows quite well what is coming up, a TP may be unaware.

Truth is, approaches become longer and less precise, which makes putting difficult.

Truth is, too, that putting itself remains unchanged - it's still the same very fast greens (sorry, YJ), but - from longer distances usually.

I agree that the game is becoming far more difficult at that point, I do state that this bears the necessity of custom clubs - pling, pling, $ in their pockets!

Alas, the fun is the same, no, a different type of good!

    Hit it str8 m8!

Don't forget paper Masters under the new scoring system.  They are likely VERY underclubbed and the adjustment is likely brutal.  I was prepared, had decent equipment since it took me 2 months to get there (somewhere in the level 50s), and was still shocked.....it was my hardest tier by far.  The starter irons got me to Master, but didn't last long as I was eligible for the L59 G20s.

At any rate, OP, don't be a complete wuss.  Embrace the challenge.  Maybe join a CC if you haven't and find friends struggling with you.  Comradarie is an important factor.  Only losers quit because things suddenly got difficult.

I agree the meter jumps between slow and fast doesn't stop when I hit button...I am becoming quite discouraged and thinking about giving it up

srixion balls can actually do you fine i see legends who still play wth them. although an upgrade in clubs is necesary at master and at least a driver again at legend. but really like other players say it's the green speed that changes. like in real life if the putts uphill u would hit it harder or if it's downhill softer. thats a real life change just takes some adjustment. just like in real life if you moved back tees there are adjustments youd have to make that will take time to get use to. hopefully u decide to keep playing because i see to many players quit because they cant adjust it just takes a few weeks and you'l be playing good again.

I expect you are using the Chrome browser. Try a different one. :-)

I recently made the  Master tier.  Actually my game improved dramatically!  Of course having the RBX 9.5 driver (about $16) driver paired with the non-vapor Nike 20XI ball ($4 a sleeve) didn't hurt.  What did notice is the score average will fluctuate per game.  Where I left Tour Pro with a 67 which only improved as I made lower scores, it reset in Master to the score of the 1st game I played.  Unfortunately it was something like 74 since I was unaccustomed to the tee being further back.  I've found that St. Andrews offers a fairly good opportunity to get a lower score, so that's what I go to off and on to keep my average, say under 70.  So, no I'm not quitting (yet) and still having a bit of fun in being a Master.
