  Lets try this ,,   WGT does pick the shot ,

  The 2 players then can click " YES "  take the WGT shot , or " NO " we will take the other shot .

   no team captian but they each get a vote .

  What happens when one picks yes and the other P picks no?

  Well in a way you have 3 votes total  , WGT and 2 players .  so if 1 player clicks yes to the WGT pick and the other player picks no , it is now a 2 to 1 vote .

  lets go this far ,, Team 1 , player 1 tees off , Then team 2 player 1 tees off . 

   Then team 1 player 2 tees off ,  As player 2 from team 2 is teeing off team 1 will be clicking Yes or No to help speed up the game . Now as team 1 is taking the 2nd shot that gives team 2 the time to click yes or no

  Sheesh, why make this more difficult than it has to be. Pick one, you have 15 seconds. You wanna argue about what shot to play with your partner? Most RL golfers don't.

  Sorry Mr Jim ,, just looking for options ,,  I am all for pick a captian and go , but I can also see in a random game the 2 players fighting over who will be the captian ..  OR  ,,  We dont get to pick who ,, WGT picks the captian .

  Should be able to decide when it's a teams turn to hit within the 90 sec clock.

  Captain is one thing that could easily be selected by programming:

  Team 1 - Captain is the person who sets up the game

  Team 2 - Captain is the first one joining the game on the other team.

  Simple and clean-cut.

   

  Definitely not something that needs to be agonized and argued vehemently. In the entire scheme of things it's not that important. If WGT chooses to add the format, once the rules and programming are implemented, players are either going to accept it and play according to those terms or not. Just like every other format on this site.
