I am running malewarebytes on my computer that I have run on over 300 hundred computers where I use to work. I just finished trying to get credits under more offers where you have 4 videos to watch.

Each one of the 4 that i watched had malware within the video. I would post this on wgt but seems as if every post i have submitted has never been answered. I just wanted to make sure that everyone in our CC new that there is a problem here that needs to be addressed.

If you do the vids for credits , they are infected at this time. I know this beacause I run the full version of malewarebytes, along with my antivirus. I had a popup on the last 4 videos i watched. Infected with PUP blah blah.

Hopefully someone in our group may have more pull to report this to the WGTICON, whomever that may be. This is a very serious problem. This could actually be causing the meter problems and a series of other problems.

Where else can they be -----everywhere

This should not be taken  lightly, WGT should be jumping on this right away.

I sent this email to customer support at WGT:

Yesterday I downloaded a "free app" for a bass fishing game that came with free credits. Attached to the app were three different programs that were filled with malware. After the app loaded my internet access crashed. I had to restore my system and clear out the malware, about 18 items in all. This is not the type of relationship I expect with WGT. Nor should anyone else. Please let m know if this problem has been solved. I also should be debited the number of credits promised with the offer, as well as an equal if not greater number for the trouble it caused.

Below is the WGT response. Seems as though it is canned, focusing on lost credits, and not the maleware infestation:

Situations like this are out of our hands. Please fill out a support request with the appropriate surveyor because we do not have the ability to view the status of those credits nor whether the survey / offer was properly completed or information like the malware situation you described.. The surveyor(s)/offeror(s) are the only ones that can review the database for a resolution.

well, this type of issue is going to be right in WGT's lap if they continue to disregard it as another persons problem.

you see, anytime there's a financial relationship between two entities - say the wgt customer and wgt (credit purchases with credit cards ring any bells?) - both entities are at risk if even only one has been compromised.

it' doesn't take long for a well written piece to get all of the information such writer would want from a single user - and that can include access to merchants they do business with.

target got hit via malware via one of it's subcontractors - sounds odd, but once the malware infected the subcontractors system - it easily dug up information enough to get into target systems themselves - then you see what you see that followed with the millions of target customers at risk and preyed upon.

Similar situation with a hotel chain and it's customers being compromised.

So you see, shrugging this issue off is probably a bad idea.  I could be wrong but I doubt we've heard the last or worst of all this type of stuff in the world today :(

    it sucks
