I sent this email to customer support at WGT:
Yesterday I downloaded a "free app" for a bass fishing game that came
with free credits. Attached to the app were three different programs
that were filled with malware. After the app loaded my internet access
crashed. I had to restore my system and clear out the malware, about 18
items in all. This is not the type of relationship I expect with WGT.
Nor should anyone else. Please let m know if this problem has been
solved. I also should be debited the number of credits promised with the
offer, as well as an equal if not greater number for the trouble it
caused.
Below is the WGT response. Seems as though it is canned, focusing on lost credits, and not the maleware infestation:
Situations like this are out of our hands. Please fill out a support
request with the appropriate surveyor because we do not have the
ability to view the status of those credits nor whether the survey /
offer was properly completed or information like the malware situation
you described.. The surveyor(s)/offeror(s) are the only ones that can
review the database for a resolution.
