  What counts is what the software calculates as the ball position, not what is displayed on the screen.

  The 2 (the software and what is displayed) are not exactly the same. In general the 2 are only accurate to within about 1/2 inch.

  We see the same thing when the screen shows our ball in the rough, but the software determines and says the ball is in the fairway.
