    Hello Fellas.

As for many of mine threads like this, I open this one to share this awesome and (sure) lucky shot at Merion Golf Club, approach shot on hole no.5 with 19mph crosswind and championship green.

This one could be for me one of the toughest hole on WGT circuit like the Cabo #18, Kiawah #4 or the Congressional #18, even the Royal #9. This one is going to be add to my replay list and I hope it will be good for anyone like me that want to close hardest holes with an eagle.

I know there is already a thread for replay shots but I usually share mine this way.

    Cheers,
    David.

    +1 - awesome!

This one is on the very top of the hardest holes list for me, together with OAK #9.

The other holes you named have solutions for Par or even Birdie - these two have not (not for me at least!)

Congrats. I know the feeling. It's really special to do it on #5.

Great shot David.  That's one of those that would have kept going straight off the green had it not found the hole.  On of the toughest greens in the game.

Great shot, but as for Kiawah 4 and Congressional 18 i have to disagree with you on their toughness.  We all have our specific "tough" holes like Oakmont 9 is a killer, but you might find a particular hole easy which i might think its difficult

I like Oak no.9 front pin.  Can't say it's a killer, but as you say each to  their  own, good birdie chance I feel.

Now the mid/back pin is another story. Not sure where to hit the green.

    Great shot David

Merion #5 pin at back.  The ball usually roles R to L on green.  So if you aim your approach shot to right side of green then it will roll towards pin.... well that's the plan...lol

Oak #9 pin front,    This was my hardest hole, until people told me to hit approach in bunker or just short of green.  Then use the slope of green to bring the ball back into the hole

Great job on Eagle. I'm lucky to hit the green 25% of the time through last years qualifier. I think I made a eagle on #5 merion once. I still found the back pin to be easier.
