  Ugh?, I never said to replace the original Us Open with the UEL Us Open, it was the idea to have two separate tournaments running at the same time, even Icon commented on that but never got any further, unfortunately.

  I hope they never run two us opens at the same time personally. It would just take away from the main event. I'm pretty sure that's the reason they decided against it.

  Either you have even or uneven lies for the us open, it really doesn't make sense to me to have two separate.

  just to let you know this thread is about The Open Championship 2015 not The US Open 2015. st andrews is pretty flat and is one of the easier courses to play uneven lies. a bit of variety wouldnt hurt.

  Good luck roughly with whatever you ask for.

  I would say though that they need to fix the stuff identified in this thread before they start giving it names like Open anything though.  

  Also there is room for only one real big one that many people will really burn a few balls to try for as well.  Further I am not sure The Open organisers would want their event second to the US open when they should be the same.  More UEL stuff though great for those that like it.

  I do think WGT would do themselves a favour and get UEL stuff separate as some are hung up on their average.  

  Contrary to any one who thinks people will not play UELs simply because they can't usually score what they can in flat lies, nothing is farther from the truth though IMO.

  Whatever style floats ya boat really though as I said, and the better flat lie players will still be the better UELs players (if they gave it a go) etc etc

  Yup I'm very aware you started the thread concerning the Open, not US Open. I was responding the LOLSERVER.

  The point I was making is relevant for what you started the thread about too. Either make it uneven lies or even. Making two different open tournaments takes away from the event. I wasn't saying I'm against having uneven lies in the open. But it needs work before you can use it for one

  its a computer game at the end of the day, im just making a suggestion for the open championship at st andrews being on uneven lies next year, it doesnt have to be every year. it would be nice to have the option to play it on uneven lies.

  We did ask for The virtual Open 2014 tournament in the Tournament forums section with many post but there were not a single comment from WGT. An special tournament in St. Andrews was created during The Open but that was it. I suppose WGT will do the same tournament for The Open 2015.

  I am almost positive WGT would move a finger to make The Open played in St. andrews on UEL. 

  After all this is a pity because WGT had been hosting The Open for several years and then suddenly it did stop. Don't recall if WGT gave any reaso for it.

  ......still wish The Open is back in 2015, whether on flats or uel. UEl would be cool tho.

  It puzzles me why WGT doesn't do the work needed on UEL. (I'm referring to fixing the green side shots from sand and rough)    Its the reason I'm not much interested in it.

  I shot a "furthest from the hole" round in a CTTH comp a while back just to see how many players enter a tournament.  I came in like 9100th place!  And just now I checked the Wk 29 18hole single play UEL tournament and there was roughly 700 entries across all tiers. A single play might not be the best example but sufficient IMO to say there is much less interest in UEL tournaments.

  I can't see a sponsor getting behind an UEL tournament at this time.  Let alone an Open.
