Very few acceptable course fees.  Fortunately I spend a lot of time in Alabama, which has the Robert Trent Jones trail of courses that are both picturesque and incredibly affordable.  I'm an hour from Highland Oaks in Dothan, which I believe is around 35-40 per 18 (depending on when you go), cart included.

I cannot be responsible for the exact amount due to my figures coming from research on Google. Although I would hope that someone across the big pond would have it more accurate. Although,  what I have posted is not far off. Ittookan American to have enough initiative to do something like this....lol

Ever thought about the flights, transfers, hotels, hire cars  etc to get to each course ?

Never mind all that other peripheral stuff.....

    Food, beer, cocaine etc etc..............

Not cheap to play a nice course in a foreign country these days.... !!

    Andy :)

Should I laugh or should I cry?

Those St.Andrews figures were not even close.

This is only a leisure site where only private opinions are published, and a link to your sources might have discharged you. But, for school, it was certainly not worth more than a D grade. At work, even worse.

You can do better, I'm sure. Where is your pride?

    I respectfully disagree ;)

In St.Andrews, you should play The Himalayas instead. This is the Ladies' Putting Course next to the 2nd tee of the Old Course. More and steeper slopes than you'll ever see on a difficult green.

They have an 18 hole course and another 9 holer. 2 GBP for the former and 1 GBP for the latter. Bring a putter and two balls, and the fun is priceless! (of course, they lend equipment, too).

BTW, 32 is a very good score on the big one, I was told!
