    HI.
I very often see something i consider not normal.
When i play VS player with very good average, if he misses a shot and go in the bunker of in the brush in the first 3 holes, he often forfeits game to keep is average clean.

At the begining i was unhappy to finish the golf course alone.
After it, i made a try, shot a very bad first ball and exit game, and i saw my average didn't change.
I think it could be very good to make something to stop it.
I think adding 2 or 3 points on average when forfeiting game, even if the player makes only one shot could deter player to do it.

Some people will say it's not a good idea because sometimes it's an internet connection problem, but even if you are disconnect, you have 2 minutes to come back, and if you really not able to reconnect, you should have to finish the course alone next time you'll reconnect to don't take penalty.

This idea could be nice not only on multiplayer games, but all the time.

Other idea is to give a percentage forfeit game information to all players, it exists on other game and avoid other players to begin game with somebody who have important probabilty to not finish course if he plays bad.

What do you think about it ?

Thanks for your comments & critics, hope you can understand my bad english. (i'm french ;)

There is no point trying to protect an average. You'll just delay your tiering up. The saturation system ensures that. Your average is just a number that nobody but you cares about.

Once upon a time here the average had some meaning but due to the greed and stupidity of WGT it now has no meaning at all.

What was once a great computer game is now an exercise in futility.

I'm with you, Quent....I get furious over  this....something must be done to stop them from doing it.

With the error messages anymore on WGT that wouldn't be fair IMHO..  Not when it's on WGT's end.

    pdb1:

WGT knows that to exit a round is a harmless decision and does not and should not affect the other players in any negative way . That is why there is a forfeit option in the menu . It is part of the game . A game and just a game . it is not yours or anyones concern why a player has decided to exit . There is no explanation needed or required . Was most probably not done with any mal intent , not personal . And not worth giving it another thought .

Of course there will still be many that insist on taking it personally and will always get annoyed by it . But that is their choice and not necessary .

If only people would forfeit properly. I find people disconnect a lot (by closing their browser window or mobile app instance, I guess), for which we have to wait for most of the countdown to expire, wondering if they're still there, and then we have to wait for the reconnect period to go by, and then the game's over (if head-to-head)  or that player is eventually marked "Disconnected" and then the game resumes (if MP).

I don't mind forfeits at all. As you say, it's part of the game. But I really do find the disconnects terribly annoying; they are disrespectful and waste the other players/s' time.
