I belong to the Eagles Crest Golf Club and we have sevral hundred members. We have a club tournament that was started two months ago and so far only 9 club members have signed up for it. This is really poor membership participation. I am now looking for a club that does something for its members and trys to make their club fun to belong to. Our owner has not played a game since March, so I don't think I will get any help from our club.

You may try and get members active by creating CC tournaments and posting in your CC forum. But, real CC activity ain't possible without an active owner. Member requests and deletion, CC headlines - only allowed for the owner.

Perhaps you might talk him into giving you the ownership (if you like), or you better change to another CC.

Im a bit speechless that a CC with an inactive (uncaring?) owner and minimal participation can attract and keep 244 members.....Im the recruiting director for a different CC and it aint easy to find quality folks to join...we been around 100 members for about 2 years.

It only means that the members are uncaring or inactive as well...

...except for the one who posted here - he wants something different.

IMO As many of the XP chasing clubs will go, his club aint one of those, its just one of those bring em in no matter what clubs, then owner sees empty leaderboards and quits

    Again IMO

You probably right, Bubbs...still kinda sad though.  An owner starts a CC that he has no interest in running,  and 200+ people join it that have no interest in participating.

IBTD: It's not a blitz thing, rather "slow rise and fall of an empire".

This CC has been running at least from 2010-09-04 when the owner joined. The decline may have begun in 2013 (judging from the "date last played"). About half of the members haven't played from then on, many others stopped in 2014, 70+ have been active in 2015. The owner has been playing until 2015-03-31, he even accepted new members until then.

But, he has been around two weeks ago, so it might be possible to address him for an owner change. It might be worth it - full member limit, CC level 6 - these are items hard to obtain when starting a new CC.

Put a message on your wall if you are interested in a small but active club..
