  I love Bethpage golf course and the difficulty of it is refreshing but number 15's front pin placement ruins the game for me.  Unless you are below the hole it is impossible to make a putt consistantly.  It is too hard to the point of stupidity.  It is like the pyramid hole at the putt putt course.  It  is to the point were I don't even want to play Bethpage back 9 because of it.

   Please rethink where you place the pin on this hole.

  I don't think it's an issue. Try a bit more imagination, such as hitting it in front bunker or rough and then flopping or pitching to it.

  Wait til you see pin on #9 Oakmont :)

  Or you can try the whole "hit it 8 yards further" method.  Works for me most of the time as it will draw back that far with back spin.  I typically shoot par or better on that hole.  Hope it helps.

  my club, wrists and shoulders are shaking before the approach

  and putting there makes me the creeps every time

  It's the only way to play BPB #15. You've got to hit above the hole to the left and let it roll back. Took me a long time to figure that out.

  Riccardo, thanks for that interactive from the NY Times. They had a similar item, which I can no longer locate, showing how Tiger Woods put his approach on 15 - I think in 2002, but possibly 2009 - close to the pin (on the upper right), but then it rolled all the way down to the bottom of the green.

  Note that according to the Times, the upper right is the only place flat enough to put the pin, but on WGT it is usually on the lower left. (And in a video tour of the course on the NY Times, the pin appears to be on the upper left - that would be interesting.)
