  I pull the flag on every shot.  Why not make this a "check box" option?  When clicked, show only the "ghost" flag stick like you do when putting.

   

  Benefit:

  less mouse clicks = saved time = more $ wgt.     less aggravation for the player

  Win/Win

  Agree 100%.  Anything to streamline a game is a great idea.  Every major successful game like SC2, Wow, LoL, so on and so forth have a plethora of tools/or added d/l to enhance user options and hotkey preferences.  I have no idea why WGT doesn't offer this.

  That is something I would never want. In my almost 7 years I might have gotten robbed because of the pin being left in 4 or 5 times. Whereas I have had my butt saved from going way over the green maybe 20 or so times. And none of my holed out shots which is way over 600 by now has had the pin pulled.

  So then you wouldn't check the box for this. The proposal isn't an either/or, its just giving players the option. From what I've seen, a lot of the top players pull the flag or recommend that you do, so you don't get any crazy bounces if you happen to hit a great shot. I, for one, would like the option as I never remember to click off the flag.

  I tend to agree.   I do generally pull the pin for flop or chip shots around the green, I don't believe those are moving fast enough to not go in if the pin is out and generally the pin can only keep those out.

  I have had 5 or 6 bad experiences leaving the pin in the hole, hit it in the air a few times and had it go back into the water at STA for example.   However if you are 175 yards away I would suggest that the pin will help you more than hurt you.

  All that being said, I can see an option of letting you always pull the pin but to me the visual side of golf, even virtual golf is such so that I want to see the pin on my approach shots.  If I'm WGT this would be way the heck down on my list to fix.

  My vote goes to this:

  Pull the flag all the time, just leave a virtual image in the hole for the optic.

  WGT does it anyway in the replays - the flag is shown even if it was pulled before. So why not make this the standard?

  Thanks guys.  yes, i'm merely asking for the OPTION. 

  The only time i leave the flag in is if I'm chipping/flopping where the green is slopping downhill from me.

  Yes, but you're asking it from US, the members. Do you think that's right?
