A lot of times I have been left about 290 yards out on the approach to Kiawah #7 to find that on my approach the ball hits a rather large mound and bounces to about 250-260 yards. Just thought I might suggest players left with distances out of reaching range to maybe drop down a club to hit that mound. It's about 85 yards out.

yeah Sgt.  if i cant reach i'll drop down to the irons or even baby the 3 wood and try to get into that 60-38 range where a punch or full wedge will stop nicely...getting to close to that hole can turn into a problem. Also try punching a 3 wood that works nicely on a tail wind

Well my 3wood full just about reaches the mound.
