WGT is getting quite boring with all the sandbagging. Im not sure why WGT is not taking it more serious as it will wind up costing them when people stop supporting game. One thing for sure that would help is to attach a skill level to equipment. Its pretty pathetic that we have level 100 + Tour Masters. As it is they play the ladies T and still have the bombing r1 blacks. Any player over level 90 should automatically turn Legend. Any driver that is a level 90+ should only be accessible by A Legend or higher and so on. Too many people have no competitive spirit in them they just want to cheat to get where they can't with skill. I used to like some of the Texas Hold'em games online but it's the same thing people just ruin the game and take away the thrill and thats where WGT is heading.

    Solarflares:

Lets play "Spot the Obvious Mistake".

Yes make the 90+ clubs accessible only to Legends.

Stop the Tour Masters getting them.

oh , and make all the 90+ Tour Masters into Legends?????

    Too funny.

Please , there are enough fake Legends going around as it is.

    Indeed,

I'm surprised Yannis hasn't gotten bored of the lack of a challenge at Legend.

I wasn't aware that I was sandbagging because I don't play this game very well or often. Most of my levels were achieved playing one hole a day and collecting the consecutive days bonus in order to get a free Shot Pal and Putter Pal.

As for competitive spirit, a lot of us play the game for fun. Something about comraderie and friendships across state lines, country borders and continents.

It will also cost WGT a lot if they alienate a large group of players by moving them to Legend and removing the fun from the game ffor them. Large blocks of people will leave the game when they don't have the skills for the Legend tier and they are arbitrarily moved up as punishment for not  playing up to YOUR standards.

You can solve your own problems and WGT doesn't have to do a thing to alienate anyone. Play within a country club, play with friends or play only those people outside those two groups who come highly recommended or you feel you can trust from these forums.

Years ago I made the suggestion that top clubs have their performance degraded a set percentage per level below Legend. After all, a 36 handicap amateur can buy the same equipment a PGA pro can buy. He's not going to be able to make it perform like a PGA pro will, however. Obviously that suggestion was never implemented. WGT's method of operation is to not respond to suggestions and this one was no different.

Degrading equipment makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The best club in the hands of a 36 handicapper is the same club; it just doesn't get used to its potential. Same here.

I have no problem with folks staying at the TM level if that's what floats their boat. I sure as hell wouldn't play one with money on the line, however. Particularly one with top level equipment.

Are you serious ? You come into the forums crying about sandbaggers and telling WGT what they need to do about them . How about you go and clear your cc roster of all the sandbaggers in your club . You have Tour Pros from L57 - L97 in your club and have the nerve to rank on so called sand baggers . What a joke and crock of bull that you are talking . So get rid of those so called cheaters in your club before you try to call other players out .

People no longer know about what to complain, each day is a different complaint and usually without any criteria

First: this is a GAME (translation) An activity that is usually done for fun or entertainment

Second: this game simulates the Golf, an individual game, where each person decides how he wants to play, from an easy position, from a harder, etc etc

For example I play with starter balls from the tee Legend, I know the game will be more difficult and probably can not win those players playing with balls of payment, but I prefer play now from a more difficult position because it is my way to enjoy the game

When you learn to enjoy your game instead of criticism as do others, sure you find everything more fun

Your first sentence is contradicted by your second. We're both correct in that the 36 handicapper isn't going to hit that club to its potential. What I proposed was that WGT lower that performance potential appropriately per tier based on the appropriateness of that club for that tier of golfer.

For example, game improvement clubs could perform at 100% at Tour Pro and above. In the same manner the top equipment could be set to perform at 100% of potential at Legend tier and above. Different clubs peak at different tiers.

Let the game put a hard limit under that for each tier below that the player actually is. A Legend club , for example, might only hit 98% as far and as accurately in the hands of a Tour Master, 96% in the hands of a Master, etc. That game improvement club would be 100% in the hands of a Tour Pro, 98% in the hands of a Pro, 96% the next tier down, etc. Starter gear would remain at 100% for everyone.

In that manner WGT could adjust the potential based on tiers yet still allow players to buy based on levels.
