WGT is getting quite boring with all the sandbagging. Im not sure why WGT is not taking it more serious as it will wind up costing them when people stop supporting game. One thing for sure that would help is to attach a skill level to equipment. Its pretty pathetic that we have level 100 + Tour Masters. As it is they play the ladies T and still have the bombing r1 blacks. Any player over level 90 should automatically turn Legend. Any driver that is a level 90+ should only be accessible by A Legend or higher and so on. Too many people have no competitive spirit in them they just want to cheat to get where they can't with skill. I used to like some of the Texas Hold'em games online but it's the same thing people just ruin the game and take away the thrill and thats where WGT is heading.
I wasn't aware that I was sandbagging because I don't play this game very well or often. Most of my levels were achieved playing one hole a day and collecting the consecutive days bonus in order to get a free Shot Pal and Putter Pal.
As for competitive spirit, a lot of us play the game for fun. Something about comraderie and friendships across state lines, country borders and continents.
It will also cost WGT a lot if they alienate a large group of players by moving them to Legend and removing the fun from the game ffor them. Large blocks of people will leave the game when they don't have the skills for the Legend tier and they are arbitrarily moved up as punishment for not playing up to YOUR standards.
You can solve your own problems and WGT doesn't have to do a thing to alienate anyone. Play within a country club, play with friends or play only those people outside those two groups who come highly recommended or you feel you can trust from these forums.
Years ago I made the suggestion that top clubs have their performance degraded a set percentage per level below Legend. After all, a 36 handicap amateur can buy the same equipment a PGA pro can buy. He's not going to be able to make it perform like a PGA pro will, however. Obviously that suggestion was never implemented. WGT's method of operation is to not respond to suggestions and this one was no different.
