I have been playing for awhile with several games under my belt. I took an extended absence from WGT for reasons that are now meaningless. I recently started playing a little again and find the game about the same as it was when I started. Most errant shots and lost balls are my fault. We all get the occasional WTF shot that we blame on the game. I have no doubt that many of these could be or are due to programming. The one thing I have seen in the past few days are the putts coming up 2-3 inches short. This was a big issue years ago but seemed to disappear. Even if I add a hair more power then the ball will skip over the hole and roll 8 feet. I have actually had 5-6 birdie chances and several eagle chances in many rounds and can't get them to drop. Frustrating? Yes. Challenging? Yes. Am I disgusted anymore? Hell no. I am not back with a vengeance, I'm back to relax and have a little fun. It's golf, drink a beer, shake a virtual hand and call it a good day.

    PhilEStein:

Then as you get to L76 start to exchange your wedges for the higher level Callies.

I assume this is a typo Phil.  You mean Clevelands?

+1 on the L33 Cally ball though, it's still my standard ball, pretty much every shot I've hit in the last 4 or so years has been with one of those.

I prefer the L35 Cally ball. a little more distance and a little less spin and IMO much easier to map the distances of your clubs. And if you want or need a slower meter speed the L34 Cally slow meter ball.

Of course it is Mainz and corrected to suit.  Can only put it down to an age thing. Maybe stupidity.  Thanks all the same

I can't even do that since I retired. The only time I drink alcohol now is when I nick one of the boy's if he's silly enough to leave it in the fridge. No, I have to man up and take it on the chin. Time and tide wait for no man they say.

Another fine example of how everyone finds their own way Mr Would-be-Sting  :)

I'm OK with the distance the L33 travel and like a bit of extra spin for control.  I did used to play the old Tour iZ though, which is what I think ended up being the Chrome+.   I honestly can't remember why I switched to Tour iS but that's the ball I got to know and love.
