Yes its worth it IMO.  If I didn't advance into higher/harder tiers I'd get bored out of my skull rapidly.  Who wants to hit wedges into every green.  Every single hole driver/wedge, driver /wedge, driver/different wedge.  Bleck!  Not me, but I digress to each his/her own.

I turned Legend a month ago and like the OP found it to be difficult at 1st.  However, what I've learned since then is that Legend is nothing more than a series of adjustments that need to be made.

The biggest IMO was the greens.  Putts will break more than you're used to and you'll obviously need to adjust how hard you hit them.  There are countless methods or calculators you can use to accurately figure out how hard to hit it.  Just search the forums.   I'm still adjusting, but I've found that as time goes I'm getting better and better and the scores are getting lower.

Map your irons and wedges for normal, BS, and TS & normal, flop, punch.  This will cost you some balls, but its something you'll need to do.  You have to know  how far your clubs are going to hit it.  Prior to Legend it was never an issue and I didn't do it then b/c it was always a wedge!  :)   For goodness sakes don't change your ball after you do this.

Play in those ranked rounds and get yourself to Legend and the brand new experience that comes with it!

    Good luck!
