  I'd like to add that in "Practice Mode" the putts definitely don't break as much in a Ranked Round.  I can play 9 holes in a practice round, then play the exact same course and conditions in a ranked round and will consistently shoot 2 or 3 strokes better in the practice mode because of the easier greens.
