    BolloxInBruges:

WGT did an awesome job on 99.9% of congressional.  The only thing I would disagree with was that tree that is very much in play on #4 on WGT.  It was nowhere near being in play IRL unless you are a 30 handicapper.  The tree in question was as someone else said a good 20-30 yards out of the line of play.

Was really cool walking up to a hole and knowing exactly how the putt was going to break before the pro even hit it, especially on similar pin positions to those on WGT.

You're right Bollin-I lived 30 mins from Congressional and have been to 3 Tourneys held there. That tree is way left not in any line of flight for anyone to hit over from any tee.

    WGTicon:

Pretty sure the #5 has been playing from forward tees. About #4, bollox called me in a 4am rant and was wondering where the tree was on #4.

In all seriousness, there are few possibilities

    1. when we photographed the course last year, tree was there and now it's not

    2. they are using different tees.

Thats the thing, as real as these courses play, some holes still play very different

I remember BP15, which was for a long time a bogey hole and now just becoming easier, but during US Open, it wasn't that bad. Obviously it had to do with us hitting 4iron-3w in the old days to the hole and pro's always 5iron or less.

Same with Congressional #4 - which right now likely is the hardest hole on WGT, but nowhere as hard as on real course

Lisa03's right.  Easy fix. Here's what it will look like.

    I'd be glad to help.

That'd take all the fun out of it. :)

Plus, I'd bet it's a bit more difficult than that.

And then, after a cut and remove, we'd all be wondering "what did I just hit?"

    lol

I can't imagine just removing a tree in a pic, removes the obstacle it held.

And PS...how'd you get a 7mph tail wind?

    CHEAT!...lol
