  Starter clubs are rated as high trajectory clubs. Low level, but high trajectory .  Maybe he doesn't have enough experience to have learned about course management yet, some holes require different approachs, or even different types of shots. Maybe been better off using full backspin, with a punch, and staying to one side of the trap, allowing the slope of the green to assist him.  Also, if you don't believe that there are some glitches in some of the shots taken, your sadly mistaken, with all due respect.

  This exact same scenario plays out for me once in a while too. I have only been playing the game for about a month longer than you, which is only about four or five months now. So we both have a lot to learn and a lot of experiences to gather here on WGT.

  Keep playing, upgrade your equipment and your apparel, keep soliciting advice, keep reading the forums, and above all, relax and have fun. This is a video game. It’s supposed to be enjoyable as a past time.
