  It would be cool if you could rent clubs one level above your current level so when you advance you are ready to buy your new clubs.

  Not trying to be an a@@ but even if they allowed it,it would be stupid to do it. Rent them at your appropriate level and you get the rental discount when and if you buy. If you rent early last IE you want there will be no discount when you buy.

  At lower levels, players should be able to advance rather quickly, so it really doesn't matter. And at higher levels, it can take months to advance. So what would be the point of knowing something is better that you won't be able to purchase for quite some time?
  
  Besides, with the wealth of information on these forums regarding equipment, players should have a good idea what the clubs will do. Additionally, I simply don't see how that knowledge allows a person to be more ready to buy new clubs when they advance.
