I think it would be a good idea to set up a practice mode for the tiebreaker shots on mobile. Most of them are pretty straightforward shots, but it would be nice to be able to practice the ones from bad lies or chip shots that are more about knowing the shot than simply better executing a full distance shot. For example, for the life of me, I can never get that greenside shot at St. Andrews right where you chip from the rough 25 yards away and the hole is 6-8 yards past a ridge at the bottom of the hill. Without spending money on super spin balls, you have to be very exact with your distance to get it close, but since I only comes up in competition for me a couple times a week at most, I never see it enough to truly dial it in and can't compete with the guys who have the super spin balls and don't need to be so exact to get within a couple of yards

    It's a good suggestion.

In the meantime, I would play more CTTH games. While there's no practice mode for those games, you can restart a round at any point before finishing, if you want. That would give you practice on a lot of similar shots.

By the way, the Callaway Chrome Soft (Level 33) ball has excellent spin characteristics and it not too expensive.

I'm sure their great, but I personally spend absolutely nothing on this game and the little I get from watching ads now and again goes towards my clubs for now. One day when I reach a high enough level maybe I'll spend them on balls, but keeping up with the continuing cost is not something I want to spend time refreshing ads for right now, to be frank (again this is just my personal philosophy and has nothing towards a opinion of what others do with their money), if I were going to spend money on gaming, I'd actually spend enough to invest in a console or gaming pc. But that's neither here nor there on my topic. Thanks for the ctth suggestion, but it doesn't really help with the tiebreakers because I have the general idea of these shots down, but on chips in the high level rooms, you need to be within 2 yards at worst to consistently have a chance to win on chips, which you can't dial in with a low spin ball without actually being able to repeat the shot a bunch to to land it on that one perfect spot that will crawl over the edge of the ridge and trickle down to the hole

    OP -

do you keep notes on the results of these difficult shots?  Only way I know to solve such a problem under your conditions.
