Simple? Yes. Just write down the number of ranked rounds you have when you tier up. Of course, you'll lose the paper you wrote it down on, so do what we all do: Keep plugging away until your average drops after a crappy round. Then celebrate with a tall young Scotch.

    alosso:
    3) or if higher scores (like the series of 33s / 66s you had Tuesday) did not raise your average. What happened on your 72 score on Monday?

Thanks very much for this info. My avg. has been dropping pretty quickly and it certainly did not move up after that nasty 72.  Thanks for looking into my numbers to help me with this.  I know now from the results that I am at saturation and just waiting for my avg. to hit 59.

Or, just be a happy player enjoying the games without fixating on the big moment. You have still some way to go to reach 59 anyway...

I am happier now that I have an idea what to expect and will enjoy the rest of my stay at TL

    Thanks very much alosso

Certainly sound advice.  :)  I think I will go pour one right now.

Who needs a crappy round to justify a Single Malt???

    Anytime after 6 pm!

Paul, who shot 3 below handicap today, including a fantastic Birdie

(and payed a beer for a lost scramble nevertheless!)

I recorded all of my scores in a spreadsheet when I turned tour legend and it took 650 scored rounds before my average stopped rising.

Are you sure?  It should be 750, not 650.

    750 is correct.

Whatever the algorithm is, I've played members in the coin games with 5,000 - 12,000 rounds, and one wtih 17,000, who are Tour Masters or lower.  I hate it when people 'game' a competitive event.
